The permanent professors of PPEEL have a strong integration with undergraduate programs, as they are all part of the teaching staff for the undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and Control and Automation Engineering, at the main Maracanã campus and other campuses. This integration is developed through four main pillars:
(i) faculty participation in undergraduate committees;
(ii) faculty involvement in teaching commissions and councils;
(iii) faculty participation in Structuring Teaching Centers (NDEs);
(iv) supervision of undergraduate final projects;
(v) supervision of scientific initiation students (both undergraduate and high school students).
To contribute to Basic and Undergraduate Education at PPEEL, we can consider participation in events, programs, and scientific initiation projects that encourage the integration of teaching, research, and extension at CEFET-RJ. Below are the relevant initiatives and opportunities:
SEPEX:
SEPEX is an annual event that promotes the exchange of knowledge and experiences among students, professors, and professionals from various fields. Participating in SEPEX allows for the dissemination of academic work, extension projects, and research developed by PPEEL, contributing to the enrichment of basic and undergraduate education.

JIPP:
JIPP is another important event that promotes the integration of research and extension, offering a platform for presenting projects and initiatives involving basic and undergraduate students. Participating in this event can encourage students to engage more actively in research and extension activities.

Scientific Initiation with COPET Calls:
COPET's scientific initiation calls offer scholarships and support for research projects developed by undergraduate and technical students. Involving students in these calls can foster academic development and provide practical experience in scientific research from the beginning of their education.

Through their involvement in undergraduate programs, the program's faculty, who are constantly engaged with the state-of-the-art in their research areas, contribute to the pedagogical framework of the course, especially in providing content dynamically and in line with global technological and scientific advancements. The participation of these faculty members in institutional committees and councils also reflects this faculty body's commitment to the institution as a whole, at its various levels and roles, in an active effort to strengthen a modern institutional identity dedicated to research and technological development.

The development of final course projects, which are usually based on topics related to the research lines of the supervising faculty, contributes to the education of engineers with a solid foundation, skilled in solving complex and contemporary problems, and as active agents in the construction of their own knowledge. Scientific initiation, on the other hand, not only contributes to greater motivation and maturity of students in their undergraduate courses but also serves as an important complementary learning tool. Through this experience, students take their first steps in the scientific investigation of phenomena and problems, being motivated and prepared to become future postgraduate students.
Professor Aline Gesualdi, former coordinator and researcher at PPEEL, has been the current coordinator of the IEEE Student Branch at CEFET/RJ since 2016. The student branch group is composed of undergraduate students from CEFET/RJ engineering courses who develop technological projects and participate in student competitions in Brazil and around the world. In 2017, the branch's project room was renovated with resources from the Department of Higher Education (DEPES) at CEFET/RJ, under Professor Aline's coordination. Professor Luciana Faletti, a researcher at PPEEL, is one of the coordinating professors of the IEEE branch, assisting the WolfBytes group.
The IEEE branch, coordinated by Professor Aline Gesualdi, was awarded funding through the FAPERJ Call - Call 06/2024 - Support for Student Teams in Technological Projects for Competitions - 2024.
