1. What courses does Cefet / RJ offer?

The Federal Center of Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca (Cefet / RJ) is a federal education institution composed of eight campuses: Maracanã, Angra dos Reis, Itaguaí, Maria da Graça, Nova Friburgo, Nova Iguaçu, Petrópolis and Valença. It offers technical courses integrated to secondary education, subsequent technicians (for those who have already finished high school), undergraduate (technologist, baccalaureate and licentiate) and post-graduate lato sensu and stricto sensu (masters and doctorate), in presential and distance modes. In the Teaching menu, go to technical course, undergraduate, post-graduate or distance education to check the courses offered..

2. How do I join Cefet / RJ?

The forms of entry are varied. The selective process for the technical courses integrated to the secondary school happens once a year and, for the subsequent ones, twice. 
The entrance in the undergraduate courses is done through the Unified Selection System (Sisu). Since 2009, Cefet / RJ has fully adhered to Sisu, using the National High School Exam (ENEM) as the only selection phase for admission to undergraduate courses at its different campuses. Access the Concourse menu item and check for open selections for courses of interest, including external, internal and re-entry. 

 3. How do I contact Cefet / RJ?

Click the Contact menu item to access Contact Us and the list of phones and extensions. The Cefet / RJ website also provides the Ombudsman and Citizen Information Service (SIC) items. 

4. How are diplomas and school records issued?

5. How can I inform myself about public concourses for teachers and technical-administrative staff?

Access the Concourses menu and check for public tenders with published edicts. 

6. What research and extension activities are developed at Cefet / RJ?

Access the menu item Research Department to know more about the research developed in Cefet / RJ.
In the Extension menu, you have access to Extension Actions, Student Assistance, Internship and Employment, Incubator and to some projects and programs such as Turma Cidadã, Cefet Jr. Consultoria e ENACTUS Cefet/RJ.

7. Does Cefet / RJ have agreements with universities in other countries?

Yes. Cefet / RJ has agreements for exchanges with several foreign universities. Go to the menu item Agreements to see which ones. To learn about selective processes with open subscriptions, click Selective processes.
