About PPCTE

The Postgraduate Program in Science, Technology and Education has for objective the qualification of researchers in the area of Science and Mathematics Teaching in transdisciplinary topics. The education, and in particular the teaching of science and mathematics, has aimed over the last few years to overcome a curriculum in which content still remains divided into incommunicable disciplines. This demand is not only in the absence of significant experiences that serve as examples but also in the absence of didatic material to give support. The Postgraduate Program of Science, Technology and Education (PPCTE) aims to promote and investigate educational experiences in the field of Natural Sciences and Technology from a transdisciplinary perspective.

 This way, the professional graduated from this course should have the ability to:

investigate possible thematic on natural sciences and technology field that can contribute to the construction of a transdisciplinary curriculum;
investigate the feasibility of implementing new educational proposals and transdisciplinary didactic materials:

investigate the impact of new educational proposals and didactic materials on the educational system.

The program is composed of two courses: Academic Master in Science, Technology and Education and Doctorate in Science, Technology and Education.
