L1 - HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE SCIENCE TEACHING
Line that aims to investigate the relationships between epistemology, science and technology considering (1) the Nature of Science and Technology, (2) the introduction of historical-philosophical approaches in the teaching of science and technology applied to education (3) the need to introduce content in initial and continuing teacher graduation.
L2 - SCIENCE, TECHONOLGY AND SOCIETY (STS) IN THE SCIENCE TEACHING
Line that aims to investigate the relationships between science, technology and society considering(1) the Nature of Science and Technology, (2) the appropriation, construction and social evaluation of science and technology, (3) the impact of science and technology on society, (4) articulations between education, science and technology regarding the introduction of new technologies from those of an organizational nature to ICT, on work field and its consequences for the training of teachers and workers on technical area in general.
L3 - NEW APROCHES IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION
This line aims to investigate the links between education and technology from diverse approaches, from the impact of new technologies on educational processes to the creation of knowledge networks. Classical Distance Education (EAD) is not included here.
L4 - TEACHER FORMATION IN SCIENCE, TECHONOLOGY AND EDUCATION
The aim of this line is to investigate the initial and continuous training of teachers with focus of science education, its practices, theories and epistemologies in different educational spaces and levels. The research topics seek to answer the question: What is to graduate science teachers in Brazil and how do these education processes take place on contexts of a complex and constantly changing reality?
