It is expected that the graduates of the Graduate Program in Ethnic-Racial Relations (PPRER) of CEFET/RJ, due to the interdisciplinary training received, can:

6. Acting as a researcher, teacher and advisor in lato or strictu sensu graduate programs, in order to contribute to the consolidation and advancement of knowledge in the field of ethnic-racial relations;
7. Participate in national and international research and study groups within the scope of ethnic-racial relations.
Among the graduates of PPRER, the majority, but not exclusive, is the presence of teachers working in Basic Education, from the public and private system - understandable data, considering that the program itself is born from a demand generated after the sanction of Law 10.639/2003. In addition to these professionals, the program receives students from different areas of knowledge, such as Health, Exact Sciences, Arts, Communication and Law. Many graduates have continued the reflections in the field of ethnic-racial relations and have fueled academic production by publishing books, articles in specialized magazines, participating in congresses, as well as publishing in the annals of events. There is also a significant number of graduates who continue their studies, at the PhD level, in other educational institutions. These data indicate that the education offered by PPRER has greatly changed not only the lives of our students, since it expands the possibility of competing in the job market and being successful, but also the reality of the communities in which they are inserted and what they are part of.
The monitoring of graduates is also included in the institutional policy of CEFET/RJ. In 2017, the Diretoria de Gestão Estratégica (Strategic Management Directorate - DIGES) started a program to monitor the institution's former students, at the three levels of education, aiming to collect data and generate indicators about the destination of graduates and their insertion and performance in the job market. Within the scope of this institutional program, several other actions are being planned so that the experiences of these graduates can be shared with current students. It is worth mentioning that this program for monitoring graduates that is being implemented at CEFET/RJ was also the subject of a proposal submitted to the Call for Proposals SETEC-MEC 01/2017 – Training in Innovation Management, having been evaluated and selected by a committee composed of members from Steinbeis University Berlin - School of International Business and Entrepreneurship (Germany).
